This application is to be used to request a permit for the use of any amusement ride on the Texas A&M University or Texas A&M University System RELLIS Campuses. A separate request is required for each ride.
As defined by the Texas Department of Insurance, an amusement ride is any mechanical, gravity, or water device or devices that carry or convey passengers along, around, or over a fixed or restricted route or course or within a defined area for the purpose of giving its passengers amusement, pleasure, or excitement. Examples of amusement rides include:
- Most mobile carnival rides
- Most theme park rides
- Most water park rides and devices
- Go-karts
- Rock climbing walls
- Bungee jumps
- Zip lines
- Mechanical bulls
- Trackless trains
- Continuous air-flow inflatable rides/devices (bounce houses, inflatable slides), and various simulators
You must provide a current 'Amusement Ride Certificate of Inspection/Reinspection from the Texas Department of Insurance.

A copy of the Certificate of Liability Insurance must be submitted with the request. The following website provides the minimum coverages:
